Our castle is surrounded by beautiful nature, so what would be better than taking a long lovely hike and then resting in one of our lovely hotel rooms. We pack a backpack that you collect from the reception and can borrow for the hike. In the backpack you will find a seat pad, coffee thermos and lunch bag. The packed lunch consists of a sandwich, coffee bread, fruit, water and coffee.

Next to us you will find the Judarskogen nature reserve where there are beautiful trails to hike. If you want to take a slightly longer walk, Mälaren and Ängbybadet are about 2 km away. Via Ängbybadet there is a path to walk along Mälaren and why not take the opportunity to take a refreshing swim during the hike?

The trails are partly marked and a good map is available at www.naturkartan.se or in the Naturkartan app, which can be downloaded for free for both iPhone and Android.

Once back after your hike, you will be treated to a lovely dinner in our castle. Three-course dinner is served in our restaurant Råkoko. After a good dinner, you fall asleep comfortably in one of our hotel rooms and wake up refreshed to a breakfast buffet.

You choose for yourself if you wish to collect the backpack earlier on the day of arrival (13.00 at the earliest) and complete the hike before check-in, or if you wish to collect it at 15.00 when check-in is. State which option you prefer in the message box when booking.
Also report any allergies/needs for special diets there. Unfortunately, we are unable to hand out backpacks on Sundays.

Åkeshofs Slott has a conscious philosophy regarding the ingredients we choose to use. We serve food based on ingredients from sustainable plant production, selected local farmers, and sustainable fishing from lakes and the sea.
